On board
I get on, I scan and I show respect for other passengers!
I get on
Get on at the front of the bus. Unless you are travelling with a pram or in a wheelchair. In those cases, alert the driver to your presence.
I scan
Scanning is an obligation! Scan each time you get on, including transfers.
Don’t have a valid travel document?
Buy a single ticket directly on the TEC app or at another point of sale.
What to know all there is to know about scanning? We will answer all your questions.
I respect other users
Four key points for plesant travel in a community:
-
Be pleasant: greet the driver, it will make them happy.
-
Courtesy: give up your seat to those who need it the most (pregnant women, people with children, the elderly, the infirm and those with reduced mobility).
-
Common sense: move towards the back of the bus to free up the corridors and doors. And consolidate your personal belongings: your shopping bag does not need a seat.
-
Goodwill: for the happiness of other passengers, don’t drop your litter, don’t smoke on board, transport dangerous pets with a muzzle or in a closed cage.
And for the Charleroi Light Metro?
Your safety is a priority! Hold on while standing and do not attempt to get off the metro after the buzzer sounds.
Unlike the bus, the metro stops at each station and its doors open automatically; if not, press the white button located near the doors. For stops on exclusive lanes (Chaussée de Bruxelles in Charleroi and stops on lines M1-M2 in Anderlues), you must request the stop, as the metro will not stop there automatically.
Finally, show respect for other passengers. Any uncivil behaviour will be punished.
