Guide for travel on our regular lines

Designing our stops and buses to facilitate your mobility and training our drivers to welcome you on board are among our priorities. How can you find out whether your line is already accessible? We will assist you! And if it is not yet equipped, the TEC offers you a door-to-door service for persons with reduced mobility in a suitable vehicle.

Follow our pictograms to help you find them and guide you in your movements.

Recognise our pictograms when looking for your timetable and on the signs at the stops. Check the information for your journey start and end stops:

Blue pictogram signifying a compliant stop  The stop is compliant. You can move there without assistance.
Orange pictogram signifying a practicable stop  The stop is usable. The assistance of another person may be necessary for boarding or disembarking.

If there is no pictogram, that means that the stop has not yet been audited or is listed as inaccessible.

  • Fitting out of platforms for persons with reduced mobility: connecting bus platforms to pavements and reducing the height of buses to make it easier to get onto the first step.
  • Fitting of environmental pavements: lowering of the pavements to facilitate pedestrians crossing close to the stops.
  • Widening of the platforms: to offer you comfortable room for manoeuvre on boarding and alighting from the bus.
  • Fitting of tactile paving stones at the front of the platforms: to guide the visually impaired/blind to the doors of the bus.

Find our pictograms at the front and on the side of our vehicles:

Hail the driver. Then wait by the centre door for the ramp to be lowered if necessary. Then wait in front of the central door until the driver lowers the ramp. You can then go up safely and take up the reserved and secure places for persons with reduced mobility.
Please note that the maximum weight allowed on the ramp is 350 kg.

You have a button reserved for you to notify the driver of your stop. Once the bus has stopped, wait for the driver to lower the ramp before you get off.

Unfortunately, our buses will not be able to welcome you if:

  • The buses do not have a ramp yet.
  • The platforms have not yet been adapted to allow the driver to approach the stop.
  • The space reserved for persons with reduced mobility inside the bus is already occupied or the bus is full.

Fitting and equipment to promote accessibility for persons with reduced mobility:

  • Ramps (manual or automatic) lined up with the central door.
  • Spacious platforms, generally opposite the central door, to welcome those in carts (yellow identification logo on the ground).
  • Priority seats reserved at the front of the vehicle, bearing the signs for people with reduced mobility.
  • Secure spaces in the middle of the buses to welcome wheelchairs.
  • Specific stop signals: an audio signal that is audible to all and luminous ‘stop’ or ‘stop requested’ signs that are visible from all points inside the bus.
  • Vehicles with a low, flat floor: to facilitate access and offer same level circulation in the vehicle.
